You?
WordPress to Webflow migration, by a Webflow Premium Partner in Melbourne.
We've built more than 200 sites on Webflow and moved many of them from WordPress, for businesses across Australia: content, redirects and SEO handled, and the site rebuilt so your team can run it without a developer.
Audit & Redirect Map
Before anything moves, we list every URL on the WordPress site, what it ranks for and what links to it. Then we agree with you what the move is for, what can change, what's non-negotiable and what has to stay consistent. That decides what moves, what merges and what retires, and it becomes the redirect map that protects your rankings.
- Full URL and content inventory
- Rankings and backlink audit
- Keep, merge or retire decisions
- 301 redirect map
- Analytics and tracking audit
- Plugin and integration inventory
Will we lose our Google rankings?
Not if the redirects are right. Rankings belong to URLs, and a URL that changes without a 301 redirect loses what it earned. We keep URLs the same wherever we can, map every one that changes before launch, and watch Search Console afterwards for anything that slipped. Expect some movement in the first weeks; a well-mapped migration settles.
Content & CMS Migration
Blog posts, case studies, team profiles and anything else that repeats moves into Webflow CMS collections, imported by CSV or the Webflow API rather than retyped. Images, metadata and authors come with it.
- CMS collection structure
- Blog and post import (CSV or API)
- Images and media
- SEO titles, metas and alt text carried across
- Internal links updated
- Content clean-up
Can you migrate our blog posts automatically?
Yes. Posts export from WordPress and import into the Webflow CMS with their titles, slugs, dates, images and SEO fields. What needs a person is everything around them: shortcodes, page-builder layouts and embedded plugin content don't translate, so we check and fix those by hand.
Design & Webflow Build
We rebuild the site in Webflow rather than copying the theme: designed around your brand, built clean, with no plugin sprawl, no security patching and a CMS your team can edit.
- Design within your brand, or a refresh
- Responsive Webflow development (Premium Partner)
- Forms, bookings and integrations rebuilt
- Interactions and motion
- Performance and Core Web Vitals
- Clean, semantic, accessible markup
What can't move from WordPress to Webflow?
Plugins don't move; what they did gets rebuilt. For most we find an equivalent in the Webflow ecosystem, and where there isn't one we build the feature ourselves, so nothing is lost in the move. Shortcodes inside blog posts take some planning, because Webflow has nothing that mirrors them directly. A few things are a reason not to move: a large WooCommerce store belongs on Shopify, and memberships, courses or complex booking logic may need dedicated tools. We tell you which before you commit.
Launch & SEO Monitoring
We launch with the redirects live, analytics tracking and the sitemap submitted, then watch rankings and crawl errors for the weeks that follow. Your team is trained on the Webflow Editor before we hand over.
- Redirects and DNS switch-over
- Search Console and sitemap
- Analytics and event tracking (GA4, GTM)
- 404 and crawl monitoring
- Webflow Editor training
- Post-launch support
Before you switch WordPress off: the migration checklist every move with us runs through.
Export from WordPress
Everything the new site needs has to leave WordPress first, and the standard export doesn't take all of it.
- Posts, pages and categories. Tools › Export writes them to one XML file (WordPress.org).
- The media library. The export only links to images and files, so copy wp-content/uploads from the host.
- SEO titles and descriptions. Yoast or Rank Math fields don't always come with the export, so record them from the live pages.
- Existing redirects. Export them from the redirect plugin or server and merge them into the new map, so no link redirects twice.
- Forms, tracking and scripts. List every form, pixel and integration. None of them move on their own.
Import into Webflow
Webflow imports content and redirects as CSV files, with a few rules that catch people out.
- Collections first. Build the CMS collections, then import CSVs of up to 4 MB, starting with the collections others refer to (Webflow).
- Slugs. Webflow slugs use only a to z, 0 to 9 and hyphens, and CMS items sit under a collection folder (Webflow).
- Files. PDFs and images move to Webflow's file hosting, so each old /wp-content/uploads address needs a redirect or a new link.
- Redirects last. An import replaces the redirects already there, and one bad row fails the whole file (Webflow).
- A lean map. Webflow advises staying around 1,000 redirects, so one pattern rule covers a whole group where the URLs allow it.
After Launch
The move isn't finished when the site goes live. The first weeks decide whether the rankings come with it.
- Keep the redirects. Google asks for permanent redirects kept for at least a year (Google Search Central).
- Submit the new sitemap. Then watch 404s and indexing in Search Console for the first weeks.
- Check what earns money. Test every form, analytics event and email record on launch day.
- Compare the top pages. Titles, descriptions and rankings of the pages that bring traffic, against the audit.
A clear, repeatable process for moving a WordPress site to Webflow without losing what it has earned.
Audit & Plan
We inventory the WordPress site, agree what moves, and map every URL and redirect before design starts.
Structure & Design
We wireframe the new structure and design the templates, every decision tied back to the audit.
Build & Import
We build in Webflow, import the content into the CMS, and rebuild the forms and integrations.
Launch & Monitor
Redirects live, DNS switched, Search Console watched. We stay on until the rankings settle.
Migrations start from AUD 10,000 + GST. The price depends on the number of pages and posts, how much of the design changes, and what the plugins were doing that now needs rebuilding. A small site, a few pages and a blog, sits at that starting price; larger sites, or a move with a redesign or new content, cost more. We quote a fixed price after the audit.
Tax Talks is a recent example. Since we moved it from WordPress to Webflow, it has seen about 50% more enquiries a month, about 30% more clicks from Google Search and a page speed score about 20 points higher. Results depend on what held the old site back, which is why every migration starts with the audit.
Most migrations take 4 to 8 weeks, and a straight move of a small site can take a couple. What stretches the timeline is rarely the migration itself: it's new content being written, or a brand or design change being decided along the way.
Pages can usually keep their addresses. Blog posts often can't: Webflow keeps CMS items under a collection folder, so WordPress posts at the root of the domain (example.com/post-name) move to a path like /blog/post-name. Each of those gets a 301 redirect, so visitors and search engines land on the new address.
Usually, at least in part. Copying a WordPress theme pixel for pixel into Webflow costs nearly as much as designing properly, and keeps the problems you are paying to leave. If your brand is in good shape we design within it. If it's holding the site back we'll say so, and a rebrand can run alongside the build.
Sometimes. If your team is comfortable and moving fast on WordPress, if your site is a large WooCommerce store or a membership or course platform, or if a developer already looks after it well, WordPress may be the better home. When the risk and cost of a restructure outweigh what the move would gain, staying is the right call. Our comparison of Webflow vs WordPress covers who should switch and who should stay. If we think you shouldn't move, we'll tell you.
Yes. The process is the same: audit, redirect map, content import and a rebuild in Webflow. Squarespace and Wix export less cleanly than WordPress, so more content moves by hand, but the redirects protect your rankings the same way.
Webflow hosts the site, so your WordPress hosting can be cancelled once the redirects are confirmed and a backup is kept. Your domain stays with your registrar; we point its DNS at Webflow on launch day. Email is unaffected as long as the mail records stay in place, which we check before the switch.
"What an incredibly thoughtful and joyful experience with ONETOO. I want to start a new business just to enjoy the brand process with the ONETOO team again."

Moving off WordPress shouldn't cost you what the old site earned. If you're weighing a move, we'll audit the site and tell you honestly whether Webflow is the right home.
